It doesn't matter how complicated the process it. It doesn't matter about the process to pirate a game. Wouldn't be the first time.Ĭonsole piracy is still a thing. No research at all? You're the one making ignorant blank statements. On consoles the whole procedure is much more complicated as you have to modify the hardware, so it is not practiced by many. What you seem not to know is how hard it is compared to PC. Once again someone who doesn't know anything about the subject and has done no research at all comes and bashes on my post.Ĭonsole piracy exists, everyone knows that. One of the main procedures is that you have to modify the hardware, so it is not practiced by many. On consoles the whole procedure is much more complicated. However what you seem not to know yourself, is how hard it is compared to PC. Do not twist my words, especially when they're right there in a post above.Ĭonsole piracy exists, everyone knows that. I did not call everyone on PC a pirate, I said it's a big problem on PC. So you might as well be calling yourself a pirate. Or are you that dense that you don't know that?Įdit: And calling everyone on PC a pirate is being a immature prick. You do know console piracy exists, right? Originally posted by West:PC version of any GTA game so far hasn't done too well compared to consoles. I do very much think the game is done and the wait is for pushing revenues to next year. I didn't do it this time, and since the 2 delays, I won't buy it at all. First for the 360, then later again when I started PC gaming. They've always been out late and given if they were ever released at the same time I would think sales would be taken from console and moved to PC. I do not trust PC sales for GTA because have not been given a chance to truely compete. What I do not condone is stalling and making PC gamers wait to push up console numbers higher or to wait for a new fiscal year to move revenues to improve stock prices. I could accept time to improve upon the game. I have switched completely to being a PC gamer. They are not equal in the law but far as a game studios are concerned both are lost revenue. I equate the loss of pirating to console gamers buying used copies and loaning to friends. No retailer releases that information usually without an approval of the developer. Players can demand all they want, but at the end it all bumps into money, if they don't want to give money in exchange for this product, they might not get it in the future.Īnyway, there are no pre-order figures for GTA V and there won't be unless Rockstar will release those themselves. So if they don't get much money from PC version, it's a bad market to release their game to. They're a business afterall, they don't run on smiles and happiness that satisfied PC customers could potentially give them, they run on money. I honestly thank Rockstar for actually still sticking to PC version, all the privileged PC players who hate and yell at Rockstar for "not treating them right" etc, must not notice their own behavior and prior action towards the developer, aka pirating the hell out of their games and low sales. (Check sales tracking websites and steam sales tracker beta) If someone starts arguing here about how well PC version of any GTA games have sold so far, they'll be deeply wrong and you'll know they haven't researched the subject at all. PC community just usually doesn't know what they're talking about, no research done, just speculations and whatnot. PC version of any GTA game so far hasn't done too well compared to consoles.Ī big part of it is pirating, another big part of it is that most people have computers that can't run such games so they buy a console instead and there are obviously many more smaller things that made it so.
